Sample Ride
A ride from Gene's Place.....bike1blu.gif (1107 bytes)

We quite often start out at Gene's ... that is the River House Tavern in North Haven... it was Hack's before...Gene has done a great job renovating this place. (If you are there around Happy Hour you might see the Pizza guy pull in so make sure you work your way over to the alcove within the next 5 seconds if you want a piece). So you can have a few there... go up Rt. 17 to Hot Rod Cafe.. sit on the patio and have a few there.....  play some pool  and then head up Rt. 17 to Middletown. Catch Rt. 66 over the Portland Bridge and follow Rt. 66 to maybe ... The Soaring Eagle... was "Primary" as we all knew it .. sometimes still get caught calling it that... and same thing again.. have a "FEW" (Few by the way we all know = SODAS.. LOL), play some pool, grab a bite to eat and if you are there at night time check out  one of the bands... after that ... continue down Rt. 66. If you want to stop again, make sure you stop in at Winchester... same thing.. have a FEW... play some pool, grab a bite... and same thing again... if you are there at night... blah blah blah...  then you can go up to Rt. 151 and take a right .  If you happen to be at that intersection on Wednesday night.. take a left and go to Happy Days Drive-In for "Bike Night".. make sure to say Hi to Mary from Full Throttle.. she will assuredly be there. THEN you can go back to that intersection and follow Rt. 151 down to where Rt. 151 intersects Rt. 149. If you want to stop again... you can stop at Knuckleheads Cafe at the TOP OF THE HILL for a "FEW", pool, lunch or dinner or live Band.. if it is Friday night. After there.. go back DOWN THE HILL... and get back on Rt. 151 to Rt. 82 which will take you to the Devil's Hopyard or the Gillete Castle, a nice little touristy thing we can do in Ct..... when you have had enough of that... go back Rt. 82 the way you came, stay on Rt. 82 over the bridge. You will come to Rt. 154. Go left onto Rt. 154 on go to Deep River. You can pick up Rt, 80 there and follow it back to Rt. 22. In Branford, you can stop at Mutha's Sports Cafe. They are biker friendly so you can have a "FEW" there, play pool .. and watch some sports! Then  you can go right Back to Gene's Place where it all started!
